Dr Paul Gordon is a respected Ngiyampaa Elder, senior cultural knowledge holder and Indigenous Knowledge Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Born in Brewarrina, NSW, he has spent over 40 years learning from senior Aboriginal Lore Men and sharing cultural knowledge, spirituality and connection to Country.
His extensive experience spans cultural education, organisational leadership and economic development, integrating traditional Aboriginal knowledge and values into contemporary leadership practices. Through cultural camps, workshops and community engagement, he continues to strengthen First Nations identity, cultural knowledge and connection to Country.

Stuart is a cultural Man from the Dharug and Gubbi Gubbi Nations. Stuart has been professionally performing cultural dance for 17years. Stuart is not just a performer he is a cultural educator whose experience is vast and spans across many disciplines. Stuart has formal qualifications in frontline management, clinical supervision & a Post Graduated Diploma in Professional Practice.
Stuart Facilitates cultural workshops for all organisations from corporate to non- government. Stuarts cultural knowledge has been obtained over many years and has a wonderful ability to translate his cultural lens in a way that invites others in to share in a culture that has thrived for 120,000 years.

Rheese is a Dharug and Gubbi Gubbi man, Rheese has been performing with Gawura since he was three. Having grown up in and around cultural performance and facilitation, Rheese has developed a deep understanding of cultural practice.
Rheese has many performance achievements from dancing at major football test matches to performing overseas to name a few, however Rheese’s major passion is working with youth and sharing with them the cultural frameworks he has come to know so well and that shaped his upbringing.

Rhiley Bull-McMinn is a proud Dharug and Gubbi Gubbi man who has been dancing, working and living connected to culture from a very young age. Culture has always been an important part of Rhiley’s life, shaping who he is, strengthening his identity and guiding him on his journey.
With a deep passion for sharing his culture, Rhiley believes that sharing is an essential part of Aboriginal culture and a powerful way to bring people together. Through dance, storytelling and cultural experiences, he loves sharing the beauty, strength and richness of his culture with others.

Imogen has been dancing since she was four years old and has grown a deep love for both contemporary and traditional Aboriginal dance. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to share, learn and connect across Australia and internationally with Gawura Cultural Immersions.
Imogen is passionate about sharing Aboriginal culture with younger generations and encouraging young people to follow their dreams and reach their goals. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) at Australian Catholic University, where she hopes to bring together her love of culture, dance and working with young people.

My main focus in life is to live culture and teach my children so they grow up strong, proud of who they are and where they come from; to continue to pass on to next generations.

I have played the yidaki/didgeridoo professionally on a national and international platform for around 15 years. I have danced since I was a small boy and travelled internationally for this too. Living culture is in everything I do, to stay connected to Mother.

Keanah is a woman from the Gumbaynggir, Bundjulung & Dungutti Nations. Keanah has been performing traditional dance since she left school and studied a Certificate III in dance at NAISDA. The National Aboriginal & Islander Skills Development Association.
In 2017 Keanah worked as a Teaching Artist for the Songroom teaching Aboriginal Song, Dance, Arts & Crafts. Keanah also has worked as an Aboriginal Education Worker and understands the importance of embedding culture into school curriculum. Keanah loves traditional dance and feels its a great way to stay connected to the cultural practice of her ancestors.

My name is Janet Cheng. I’m a proud Wiradjuri, Yamaji, Watjarri woman from Cowra NSW.
Growing up, I was immersed in a cultural upbringing, learning traditional dance, language and song through Dinawans Connection from a young age. Also attending Naisda gave me a chance to experience and learn about different cultures, traditions and performing arts.
I deeply value the connection between myself and country. I am passionate about sharing culture with the younger generations and teaching them how to care for country has been one of my biggest goals in life. I strive to create an inclusive environment for all people to find a sense of belonging and purpose.
